Jubilee Ball
The Jubilee Ball organised by Goostrey Parish council was a wonderful start for GYPP, raising £1500. For a report and picture - see the Village Events page

Jubilee Picnic
The Jubilee Picnic on Bank Holiday Monday raised over of £450 - see the report and pictures on the Village Events page.

Rose Day 2002
Helium balloons were released on Rose Day - see the Village Events page.

Seed Corn
The Seed Corn issue of £20 has been made to the young peoples groups:- Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Beavers, Rainbows and Cubs.  This is to be harvested in the Autumn. UPDATE: The Guides and Brownies used their Seed Corn to hire Goostrey Village Hall for the demonstration evening, 'A Touch of Autumn'. Read all about it on the Village Events page.

A Touch of Autumn
'A Touch of Autumn' was arranged on behalf of Goostrey Guides, Brownies and Rainbows by their new Parents' Committee. Local experts Marilyn Lloyd and Pat Schofield demonstrated flower arrangements and 'no-cook' cookery with a Harvest theme. Around £350 was raised for GYPP- see the report and pictures on the Village Events page.

Holmes Chapel Rotary Christmas Draw
GYPP are to receive 75p for every £1 book of draw tickets sold. Tickets are available from committee members. Prizes include a fabulous weekend break for two, a de-luxe Aussie-style barbeque, meals for two and a basket of fruit. The Draw will take place at Holmes Chapel Shopping Precinct at 12 noon on Saturday, 14th December 2002.

Sportsman's Dinner

The Sportsman's Dinner has been cancelled in favour of a 60's Night in late January 2003.
